3D FPS starring chickens
Chicken Gun is an action game developed for mobile. This free-to-play online multiplayer game lets you jump into a 3D world and challenges you to beat every opponent that comes your way. The catch, you and your opponents are chickens — not the cowardly type of person but actual chickens.
Like other first-person shooters, your character and your opponent will be armed to the teeth with weapons. Use the joystick to move your chicken and aim true before you shoot or launch a grenade. Be warned, however, as the game comes with major lags and annoying ads.
Be the last chicken standing
Chicken Gun offers two modes: 5 VS 5 and against all. Once installation is complete, you can choose between the two and get into the action. Armed with a machine gun, you can explore the entire map and hunt for enemy chickens. The controls are easy. You can use the joystick to move your chicken. Then, tap on the action buttons to either attack, shoot, or launch a grenade.
There are also vehicles scattered across the game map. Your chicken can hop on any of it and drive around. You can also use these vehicles to find opponents much faster and take them by surprise. Of course, it could also be useful when running from them. During each game, a bar floating above your chicken will tell you your life points. Protect it well to last longer.
Simple but fun
Chicken Run is not the prettiest game, but its gameplay is really fun. Despite that, however, there are various drawbacks to it. For one, it puts you against players with overpowered guns. With this, you are destroyed in a few minutes in the game. Additionally, the starter guns could also be more powerful. As mentioned, it also suffers from major lags and annoying ads that can hinder your enjoyment.
While this shooter has fun gameplay, it's also limited to a few maps, making it repetitive after a while. Moreover, the levels in the game offer vehicles like the motor and airplane, which have little use outside of escaping combat, making their addition weak in terms of gameplay mechanics. That being said, for a parody of a game, it can be a fun and wacky game with the right crowd.
Entertaining yet frustrating
Overall, Chicken Gun is an entertaining game. It comes packed with battles, but its poultry characters will crack you up even if you take out all the opponents. However, while it may be fun to play based on its description, its performance says otherwise. There are a lot of issues to the game that can be a deal-breaker even to hard-core players.
